In the Additive Manufacturing Laboratory, students are provided with an active learning environment that allows them to fabricate 3D models directly from CAD data created in modeling software. Students make use of this lab to model and fabricate complex shapes of polymers that are used in engineering and medical applications. This lab also utilized for the research purpose.

In Experiential Learning Lab and Makers lab, practical learning of basic concepts of mechanical engineering/physics is done through DIY concepts. This Makers Lab consists of various mechanisms, cut sections and disassembled parts of various mechanical devices. Faculty can carry the components, mechanisms to classrooms for effective explanation through demonstration. Students can visualize the parts and can learn their working, design and applications.

Project lab is a special area where students can use a variety of fabrication techniques, hand tools, and assembly methods, to design, build, and test physical models of mechanical systems in order to obtain a hands-on understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design concepts.

The classrooms in the department are well furnished and finely ventilated. They are equipped for modern day interactive classroom teaching apart from having conventional chalk-and-talk facilities. The seating capacity of each classroom is upto 75.

The department been allocated with spacious laboratory spaces as per the AICTE requirement. All the laboratories are equipped with latest machinery and are well maintained. In addition, the department also has a computer aided laboratory with state of the art computer systems and CAD software for the whole class of students to work simultaneously. Separate computer laboratories with FEM and CAM software are made available for higher semester. The department also has the CNC Machine for hands-on-experience purpose for the students.
