About the Department
The department has NBA accreditation till 2025. The Department is recognized as Research center by VTU, Belagavi, in which 11 faculty members are pursuing Ph. D & 16 completed Ph.D in diverse areas of ECE, such as, Digital Electronics, VLSI, Biomedical Engineering, Power Electronics, Image Processing and Communication. In 2012-13, UG intake has increased from 120 to 180. There has been Good Academic and Extra, Co-Curricular records by students, with consistent performance in university exams and placement of the students in Core Companies.
The Department of ECE has signed six Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) with well-known firms such as Tessolve semiconductors, KPIT, and Epitome Circuits. The department faculty have submitted 12 Indian patents, four of which have been awarded.
A good number of Paper Publications have been contributed by both Faculty and Students. Faculty have published books also. There has been a number of technical interactions like Guest Lectures, Workshops, Competitions & Conferences are conducted by the Department Students Club Techkruthi, Robotics Club, mini project exhibition.
Faculties are Members of BOE and BOS under VTU as well as Autonomous colleges. They have given Expert lectures for the EDUSAT program of VTU. Professional societies like IEEE and IETE operate for the benefit of faculty and students to alert their skills. Extra classes are carried out to prepare the students for Placements/ GATE/ GRE Examination.
Student centric Projects and activities are held under the Centres of Excellence in Signal Processing and VLSI.
